Summary of the FOAM meeting held at the Frederick Fairgrounds on Monday April 7 (75th anniversary of the legalization of beer)


Thanks to Mike & Patti & Mike & Marion for hosting the last two brew sessions!


April 17th will be the 3rd Thursday Happy Hour held at Hard Times Cafe. There will be a Silent Auction of artwork & gift certificates to benefit the Avon Breast Cancer Foundation.

April 26th we will have a Frederick Pub Crawl, starting at Barley & Hops at 11:30.

Saturday May 3rd is National Homebrew Day.  Brewing event at Maryland Homebrew in Columbia.  Also there will be tours & beer tastings at the Flying dog Brewery http://www.beertown.org/events/bigbrew/Bigbrewselect.aspx

May FOAM meeting might be held at Brewer's Alley, but it won't be on the first Monday of the month (Cinco de Mayo).  Bring your entries for the FOAM cup (Bock, BJCP Style 5).

May 10th is the DC Chili Cookoff, the Celtic Festival, and BURP Spirit of Free Beer Competition

May 16th & 17th is SAVOR: An American Craft Beer & Food Experience

May 31st is the Spring Beer Festival

June 7th is the FSHG Picnic at Patapsco State Park

June 19-21 is the AHA National Homebrewers Conference in Cincinnatti.  BURP is arranging for a bus.

July 31st FOAM will attend a Frederick Keys Game, with beer tastings from Brewer's Alley.
