Here's a summary of the meeting held Tuesday,
December 12th:
 
  -16 members have renewed their memberships. We've got the beer "huggies" You get two when you renew.
  
  -Treasury report: We've got $1232.67.  $205 was spent on beef for the Christmas Party at Mike &
Patti's
  
  -The January FOAM meeting will be held at the Flying Barrel, but on Tuesday January 2nd insted of Monday.
  
  -The February FOAM meeting will be held at Wild Goose Brewery.
  
  
  ** DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE CHRISTMAS PARTY AT MIKE &
PATTY'S THIS FRIDAY, DECEMBER 15, starting at 7:30 PM
 

   Bring beer & a side dish or dessert. Dishes, plastic ware etc. are already taken care of.  I (Terry Brann)
will bring some of the Christmas Ale brewed at the Schifferstadt  Oktoberfest.
  
  -Jim Wagner of Duclaw Brewery might be interested in hosting a FOAM meeting, maybe in the spring. We should think about other brewers who might be interested in hosting FOAM meetings.
  
  Travelin Dave has volunteered to store some FOAM tables. We also have 5 gallon kegs that should be
cleaned up & stored.
  
  Calvin has proposed an idea for a prize for FOAM BREWER OF THE YEAR.  We could assign points for winning 1st 2nd or 3rd place (maybe 3, 2 or 1 points respectively, or 5, 3, 1 points.) and at the end of
the year the person who had accumulated enough points would win an engraved pewter or stainless steel mug or something.
  
  The problem with accumulating points in county fair competitions is that a) only residents of the county
are eligible and b) there are so many classes of beer to be entered, that someone's prizes in one county
fair competition could eclipse the prizes won in FOAM cups.
  
  We still need to work out the details.  Calvin was nominated for Officer in charge of Best FOAM brewer
competition.  He wasn't here to object, of course.
  
  
  -There will be a Happy Hour at Hennings on the 21st of December.
  
  
  -We need to confirm a Guess-That-Beer competition for January, possible at Edgar's House.  Maybe the
Saturday a week before the Superbowl.
  
  -There will be a Chili/Beer Tasting at Hard Times on the Golden Mile, Next Monday Dec 18th. Starts at
6:30 PM, costs $20.
  
  -Next FOAM Officers meeting: January 16th at Travelin' Dave's
  
  -Super Bowl Party at Lou King's house, February 4th   

  -BURP meeting, also at Lou's house, Saturday February 24th.
  
  -Edgar proposed that we should consider promoting more FOAM group visits of other homebrew clubs.
  
  -Bob proposed for 2007:  Another Metro-oriented DC Pub Crawl, like the one we did a few years ago.
